Highlights

  • <br />

  • Transaction list & details, redesigned: cleaner fintech-style layout, BTC price shown at settlement time, sender messages on Lightning payments, richer detail for LNbits transactions, and frequent micro-payments grouped instead of cluttering the list.

  • Native QR scanning: scanning now runs on the phone's own camera engine behind BuhoGO's own overlay, so it is faster, works better in poor light, and no longer hands you off to a full-screen third-party scanner. Used everywhere you scan: sending, adding contacts, connecting LNbits or NWC, and signing into sites.

  • Settings reorganized into Settings / Identity / Spend, with a new floating tab bar. Identity now owns your profile, recovery phrase, and the sites you've signed into. Spend is a new home for the Bitcoin Map, eSIM & VPN, and Spend Online.

  • Branta merchant verification now carries onto your receipt: the verified merchant badge you see before sending stays on the transaction details afterward, so you can always look back and confirm who you actually paid.

  • Learn & Earn rewards are recognizable in your history, showing the BuhoGO mark and a plain "Learn & Earn reward" label instead of an anonymous incoming payment.

Arkade wallet support: a new wallet option alongside Spark, LNbits, and NWC.

  • Simpler profile editor: flatter layout, plain-language explanations instead of hidden tooltips, and the BuhoGO logo now shows instead of a blank silhouette when no picture is set.

  • Lightning success messages (LUD-09): see a note from the sender when one is attached to a payment.

  • Local-currency payouts (LUD-21): send in the recipient's own currency where the provider supports it, with delivery verification.

  • Phone-number payments now cover Tanzania (ChapSmart), alongside Kenya (Tando) and Zambia (Bitzed), with smarter handling of overlapping number prefixes between the three countries.

  • New "About BuhoGO" page, with a link to our Nostr community, and a prompt to restore contacts from Nostr after recovering your identity.

Technical updates & fixes#

  • Arkade: migrated to @arkade-os/sdk 0.4.41 + boltz-swap 0.3.46; fixed a balance-lag bug after sends; friendlier errors for swap-minimum limits; on-chain sends from contacts and deep links now route through Ramps offboard.

  • Bolt Card: withdraw/redeem amount now pre-fills correctly from both entry points.

  • Clearer errors for payment types not supported yet (zero-amount invoices, BOLT12 offers).

  • Transaction metadata moved to a dedicated per-wallet store.

  • Safe-area and sticky-header fixes on Android (transaction details, Settings hub).

  • NFC reader mode hardened against unexpected app launches from stray tags.

  • Learn & Earn: blocked reward farming from the web build, fixed a sats-draining bug, simplified the payout store, and fixed a broken image reference plus text line breaks on the summary screen.

  • Capacitor iOS project added as groundwork. No iOS release yet.

  • German and Spanish translations kept in sync with all of the above.
