Release Notes BuhoGO v1.9.3

BuhoGO 1.9.3 gives your Spark based Bitcoin an emergency exit, lets you claim your own BuhoGO handle, tells you when a payment lands while you are in another app, and brings four LNURL upgrades along with a long list of implemented user feedback.

Highlights#

An emergency exit for Spark wallets. Your Spark money can move to plain Bitcoin without Spark's operators. BuhoGO keeps an exit kit up to date after every payment, shows it in Security, and only raises a banner on Home after a long Spark outage. An exit picks up where it left off over the two weeks it can take.
Your own BuhoGO handle. An optional name@mybuho.de, paid per year for 1 to 10 years, with a verified badge on your card. A claim survives closing the app, and a payment from another wallet is detected. Send and People accept @name and name@mybuho.de.
Payment notifications. Turn them on in Settings or when you set up a Spark wallet, and BuhoGO tells you when a payment lands while you are in another app. They work while BuhoGO is still running in the background, not once it is closed.
Find people on Nostr by name. Adding a payee now searches names on Nostr, verifies each profile, loads more results as you scroll and keeps your place when you come back from a profile. A pasted secret key is blocked before anything leaves the phone.
Services you pay are remembered (LUD-11). When a service marks its payment link as reusable, the payment shows the service's name and logo, you can save it to Payees, and Transaction Details offers Pay again.
Reusable vouchers (LUD-14). A withdraw link that can be used again is kept as a voucher. Receive shows what it still holds and redeems it the normal way, and an unreachable service keeps the last known balance instead of reading as empty.
Share your Lightning address on request (LUD-23). When a service asks for your address, one sheet shows who is asking and waits for your OK, whether the request came from a scan, a paste, the clipboard, Redeem, a link or NFC.
Faster withdrawals (LUD-08). Withdraw links that carry everything open the Redeem review straight away. The review shows the service and the wallet receiving the money, and asks you to confirm.
Deposits show what waiting costs. A confirming on-chain deposit shows the fee and what you get. Speed up compares Wait and Now side by side and adds the deposit early only when you tap it; BuhoGO no longer claims early on its own.
Brazilian real (BRL) joins the display currencies.

UI/UX#

The balance pulses softly while it loads and settles once the figure is in, on Home and in the wallet switcher.
The backup intro always fits one screen, on small phones and in every language, with Next above Android's navigation bar.
A copied address is offered once on Android, says what it is, and does not come back after a restart. On iOS, Paste stays an explicit tap.
Toasts can be swiped away, with clearer light and dark themes.
Receive shows your address more simply, and the Arkade logo reads in dark mode.
After an internal transfer, the success screen opens the transaction details directly, and only one success message appears.
Security labels the Bitcoin backups Spark and Arkade.
Transaction Details is simpler, and the tag picker is gone.
The transaction report can be saved straight to your phone. The done screen offers Save first, then Share, and saving works on phones without Google services.
Google Drive backup says when a phone has no Google Play services instead of failing at sign-in.

Bug Fixes#

- Fixed on-chain deposits being added automatically only while a particular wallet view was open.

- Fixed a successful early deposit claim showing a failure and not being recorded as claimed.

- Fixed the transaction report failing to export on Android in every format, and QR images failing to share.

- Fixed the QR scanner stalling on phones without Google Play services; when the camera engine cannot start, the in-app scanner takes over.

- Fixed a startup error that could stop the Arkade wallet from loading.

- Fixed withdraw links whose description contains @ corrupting the withdrawal request.

- Fixed the kiosk and the Spark setup wizard reaching past the screen and hiding their buttons behind the navigation bar.

- Fixed a closed share sheet counting as a shared exit kit.

- Fixed the cloud backup sheet's title wrapping under the close button.

- Fixed Save on a shared card, and scanning a card's code, opening a payment that needed a wallet. They now open the person's card in BuhoGO and ask to save them; nothing is saved without your tap. Your own card now says "This is you".

- Fixed a card link doing nothing when opened a second time, showing the previous person when opened while another card was open, and doing nothing when pasted into Send.

Code Quality#

- Deposit state lives in one store, so discovery and claims work the same for every wallet.

- Toasts run through one host and one controller.

- The choice between the native and the in-app QR scanner lives in one module.

- Saving and sharing files, for the transaction report and the exit kit, go through one module.

- Added 31 test files covering the emergency exit, LUD-08, LUD-11 metadata, LUD-14 vouchers, LUD-23 address requests, payment notifications, deposits, usernames, people search, toasts, file export, the scanner engine, the balance pulse and deep-link delivery.

- Added 15 browser checks that drive the real screens with scripted wallets, from deposits and transfers to the backup screens, the emergency exit and card saving.

Technical Updates#

- Spark moved to `@breeztech/breez-sdk-spark` 0.25.0; the emergency exit uses its unilateral exit API and public Esplora endpoints.

- Added Capacitor Local Notifications for payment notifications, with BuhoGO's own notification icon on Android.

- Added an in-repo FileExport plugin: the Android Save as dialog with no storage permission, and the iOS export dialog.

- The Capacitor Filesystem plugin is now part of the native projects, and `npm run check:native-plugins` catches a plugin the app uses but the native build lacks.

- People search queries the Ditto and Dreamith search relays through nostr-core.

- Dependency security updates, including axios 1.20.0 and MapLibre GL 6 for the map.

- Android version metadata updated for this release.

- German and Spanish translations kept in sync with everything above.
